Here are some neat packaging designs featuring illustrations by UK artist Ben Javens for 8th Continent Soy Milk. I like how the packaging is friendly and stylish, without compromising on readability and flavor distinctions. It definitely strikes a good balance. (I’m not sure who did the actual packaging layouts, but if you know, please share it with us in the comments.)

The lamp you see here is called Re3. It stands for reduce, reuse, redesign. It is made out of CDs, which is one of the biggest wastes in landfills. People nowadays purchase their music and movies straight from the internet into their portable player. A mass amount of CDs are no longer used and has been thrown away. So, this lamp would help reduce the CD waste all over the world. Despite the lamp’s environmental aspect, it is designed with a modern look and feel. The light coming out of it has a rainbow-like effect. 20% of the purchase will be donated to Green House Association.
“Slurk (sip in Danish) is a Copenhagen juice and coffee shop. Based on freshly squeezed juice and roasted coffee Slurk delivers healthy and tasty drinks to people on the go. The simple concept of using ecological and high quality products in order to give the customer a better and healthier alternative than the larger chains, needed to be communicated through the visual identity.”
“Together with a bold and characteristic use of typography and colour the identity is based around the simple yet strong “S” symbolizing the idea of a fruit being peeled.”
